Personal Opinions:
Well, I have to say I'm not overly impressed with the results for this media! However, in all fairness, I believe a lot of the fault in this one lies with the manufacturers of the CD burners used, and not the media itself (although I could be wrong). The way the media reacted to my testing gives me the feeling that it is performing as it was intended to, but that the drives are not burning it as well as they could be. I suppose my biggest regret is that I only have 2 drives to test this media on at the moment, since a lot of drive still do not support 32x CD-RWs

Technically Speaking:

Technically Speaking, I think the media did well given the circumstances. I would like to see what both Plextor and LG do with their firmwares in the future, and hopefully one or both of them will work on improving their drive's writing quality on this media. Otherwise, I don't think that the LG burner should even be considered a 52x32x52x drive!

According to the tests that I performed on this media:

The optimal write speed on the Plextor Premium is 32x (only one choice)
Speeds to avoid on the Plextor Premium: None

The optimal write speed on the LG - 8525B is 16x
Speeds to avoid on the LG - 8525B: 32x, 24x

The Score:

Plextor Premium:
In combination with the Plextor Premium drive, I give this media a 5.0/10.
No data was lost, but the burn quality was very low... however, it burned reliably the same way on a consistent basis.

LG - 8525B:
In combination with the LG - 8525B drive, I give this media a 3.0/10.
No data was actually lost, but the burn quality was extremely low, to the point that I actually am concerned that some drives will not be able to read back some of the files from this media when burned on this drive!
Sincerely,
The Digital Dolphin
