CD #1 Burned @48x:
Tested @40x
Tested @40x

Unfortunately, I can only test this media at 48x with the LiteON 48125W drive, since the Plextor Premium drive does not have a setting for 48x CD-R burning. As you can see, this media does not really like being burned at 48x that much (by the LiteON 48125W), or at least that is how it appears. I decided to re-test this CD-R but at the MUCH lower speed of 8x, in order to see how it turned out. The test results came back very positive (boasting a C1 average error rate of 2.308). This most likely means that the disc becomes somewhat off balance at higher speeds. The end result is, this media will be completely readable, even when burned at this high speed, although your drive may have to slow down at certain points to read the entire disc.

CD #2 Burned @40x:

As you can see, when these discs are burned at 40x, they yield far superior results then when they are burned at 48x! Although neither disc shows what I would call a GREAT score when burned at 40x, they are both completely usable burns. I should mention however, that the Plextor Premium had a little bit of trouble burning this disc, and ended up dropping the speed to only 20x around the halfway point of the burn. Personally, I found this a little frustrating!
