Personal Opinions:
I was quite pleased with the results I received when testing these SmartBuy: The Write Stuff 32x CD-Rs. I feel the results leave little to be desired as the reported C1 error rate was fairly low on all tests, and never peaked beyond 41 errors per sector. As with all good quality CD-Rs, there were 0.000 C2 errors reported on all of the tests I performed. I also like how the error rate was consistent regardless of the speed I burned at. I really feel that we should start re-thinking the idea that: "If you burn it slower then it turns out better!" which is not proving to be true with regard to the reported C1 and C2 error rates I am seeing.

On a personal note, I have used these CD-Rs myself for quite some time now. I've probably burned about 400 or 500 of them in the last 5-6 months. I almost always burn them at 40x, and I have NEVER had ANY problems. I DO recommend these CD-Rs, to anyone using any CD Burner. I've never had one die on me, nor have I ever been unsatisfied with the results at the point of burning.
The Score:
The only downside to these CD-Rs is that you can't push them further then 40x without having the disc fail. So if you are looking for a CD-R that overclocks to insane degrees, I'm afraid you will have to look to other CD-Rs. However, if you generally burn CD-Rs at 1x-40x speeds, then these CDs are for you! I give these CD-Rs a 8/10.
Sincerely,
The Digital Dolphin
