I have to say, I am sorely disappointed in these CD-Rs! I have come to expect better media from Ritek, and I did not expect to see the results that I did.
I am fairly certain that these CD-Rs are very old stock, both because of their low burning speed capabilities,
and because of their serial number system.
I should mention that newer Ritek stock (i.e. the Maxell 40x I tested) has performed MUCH better,
and I am in NO way encouraging people not to buy *ANY* Ritek CD-Rs...just not these ones!
I just can't recommend these CD-Rs, their quality was too inconsistent, and you never know what you will get! they seemed to burn their worst at 24x,
and seemed to burn almost well at 16x and 8x, but I believe it was just fluctuations from disc to disc.
I don't like saying this, but I would suggest avoiding this media, if possible. If you MUST use these CD-Rs, then burn them lower then 24x (16x SHOULD be fine)
and test to make sure all the files are readable, using Nero ScanDisc or similar software.
