| Personal Opinions: |

My initial opinion of this media was not very good. I expected that since the media was likely very old (due to the low certified
burning speed), the performance would be very poor. To my surprise I was wrong, in fact VERY wrong! This media performed very well,
even when burned at twice its' certified burning speed! I suppose that teaches me for judging a book by its' cover eh?
Technically Speaking: Technically speaking these discs performed very well in almost all situations, although they appear to be completely incompatible with the LDW-411s drive. I do find it a bit weird however that these discs seem to really dislike being burned at 16x according to my testing. All things considered I would definitely consider using these discs again! According to the tests that I performed on this media: The optimal write speed on the Plextor Premium is 8x Speeds to avoid on the Plextor Premium: 16x The optimal write speed on the LiteON 48125W is 8x Speeds to avoid on the LiteON 48125W: 16x? (untested, but suspected) The optimal write speed on the LiteON LDW-411s is N/A Speeds to avoid on the LiteON LDW-411s: *all of them* The Score: Plextor Premium: In combination with the Plextor Premium drive, I give this media an 8.5/10. LiteON 48125W: In combination with the LiteON 48125W drive, I give this media a 9.5/10. LiteON LDW-411s: In combination with the LiteON LDW-411s drive, I give this media a 3.5/10. DO NOT USE THIS DRIVE WITH THIS MEDIA! |
