Instead of a blank space, I've included the testing on the disc burned at 52x by the Plextor Premium, since the Plextor Premium does not have the option to burn at 48x. As you can see, the Plextor Premium *FAR* our performs the LiteON 48125W at these higher speeds (with this media). The large amount of C1 errors, and smaller amount of C2 errors reported on the disc burned by the LiteON 48125W are very discouraging! |

You've probably noticed that I have included a third drive in the above testing! Please welcome my LiteON LDW-401s DVD+R/RW DVD burner, in its' first appearance on TheDolphinReview.com. As you can see, the LDW-401s is more then holding its' own against the Plextor Premium, whereas the poor 48125W is still struggling with C2 errors! |

Finally! We now see all 3 drives producing at least USEABLE burns from this media type! This leads me to believe that this media should be re-certified to 32x, instead of 48x! The LiteON 48125W still appears to be struggling with this media, but at least there are no longer any C2 errors being reported by my scans! |
