Personal Opinions:
These are without a doubt, the worst performing CD-Rs I have tested to date! They had an incredible amount of reported C2 errors in most cases, and often a VERY high amount of reported C1 errors. Only when written at 8x did the CD-Rs perform well enough that I could in good conscience say they were ok to use, and to be honest I still wouldn't!

My opinion (if you haven't already guessed) is that these CD-Rs are BAD. Under almost every circumstance, these CD-Rs tested as unusable, and very unreliable. I wouldn't even want to think about what would happen if you used these CDs in Mode2 format! These CD-Rs exhibited astronomic reports of C2 errors, and in almost every case there were unreadable files.
The Score:
In Conclusion, I don't recommend these CD-Rs, maybe Melody, and their manufacturer, will get the hint and increase their CD-R quality levels! If you *DO* decide to buy these CD-Rs, I HIGHLY suggest burning them at either 8x or 12x in order to (hopefully) have decent and usable CDs after burning. I give these CD-Rs a 1.5/10 and I consider that to be fairly generous! I truly believe that a CD-R should perform well at their certified speed, and these ones don't!
Sincerely,
The Digital Dolphin
