Personal Opinions:
My personal opinion of this media is very good! From the way this media performs at various speeds ranging from fast to slow, to the ease of which these CD-Rs can be written on with a marker, I like these CD-Rs! And yes, I'm serious about the marker comment, I swear that these CD-Rs just *feel* better when I write on them! And you can bet that I'll be getting some more of them as soon as I find a local supplier!
Technically Speaking:
Technically speaking these CD-Rs performed perfectly in every way but one. They failed to give good results when burned at 48x and tested at high speeds... however, these discs are not certified for 48x writing speeds, only for 40x and below. I'm sure you will agree with me that these discs performed incredibly well in every area that they claimed they would! In fact, these discs are remarkable in the fact that they have no identifiable preferred recording speed. Every test that I ran on these discs between 40x and 4x resulted in roughly the same scores! So whether you are using an older 4x burner, or a newer 40x burner, these discs will satisfy you in every respect!
The Score:
It should come as no surprise that I give these discs a 10/10.I also award these discs my highest honour, The Digital Dolphin Friendly Award! Now, some might argue that these discs failed the high speed test, when overclocked to 48x... and they would be right! However, I don't believe that the discs should be held accountable for performance they did not claim. Had these discs been certified for 48x then they would have received a lower score. |
