Personal Opinions:
These Maxell 40x CD-R performed far greater then I had originally expected! They have an incredibly low reported C1 error rate, and no reported C2 errors. In my opinion they would be ideal candidates for any type of use, including but not limited to: Regular data CD format, Audio CD format, and/or Video/Super Video CD Format. I would expect these CD-Rs to have a long life span, and probably stand up VERY well to scratches, dust and fingerprints.

I would (and probably WILL) use these CD-Rs myself! I should also mention that these CD-Rs would be a VERY good choice for people with slower burners, since many newer CD-Rs don't tend to perform this well at such low speeds. Contrary wise, these CDs also performed quite well (and even BETTER in some cases) at higher speeds*. My only regret is not currently having access to a 52x burner to see how they would fair.
The Score:
Digital Dolphin Friendly Award Under these circumstances, I feel obligated to award these CDs my highest honour: The Digital Dolphin Friendly Award. Unfortunately, since I REALLY didn't expect the first CD-R that I tested to receive this award, I haven't finished designing the picture for it yet. However even though the picture isn't done, I would still like to thank RiTEK, for making such good CD-Rs, and also Maxell, for choosing such high quality to offer us! I give these CD-Rs a 10/10.

*additional note: The new LiteON 52246S is able to burn these discs at 52x!
Sincerely,
The Digital Dolphin
