Personal Opinions:

Well, generally speaking, I have to admit I have a bit of a personal bias against CMC Magnetics made CD-Rs... however, that aside, these CD-Rs did perform very well, but only on the Plextor Premium, and not the LiteON 48125W. This says to me that most people (who don't own Plextor based drives) will not experience very good results. Technically Speaking: Technically Speaking, I feel pulled both ways by these CD-Rs! On the Plextor Premium drive, these discs performed reliably, and consistently VERY well on EVERY burn. However, the LiteON 48125W drive had continual problems burning these discs properly, and I have to wonder if the one or two times that some good results occurred, weren't actually just flukes! All things considered, I would not recommend these discs in most circumstances! According to the tests that I performed on this media: The optimal write speed on the Plextor Premium is 16x Speeds to avoid on the Plextor Premium: none The optimal write speed on the LiteON 48125W is 24x (see above comments) Speeds to avoid on the LiteON 48125W: 16x, 40x+ The Score: Plextor Premium: In combination with the Plextor Premium drive, I give this media a 10/10. These discs burned VERY well, every single time, at every speed I tested them at. Other Plextor drives may see similar results. LiteON 48125W: In combination with the LiteON 48125W drive, I give this media a 6/10. I was very disappointed in the performance of this media in the LiteON 48125W drive. It was on the whole very poor quality, and not very consistent either. I would not recommend this media to anyone who uses a LiteON base CD burner.
