|   | Unfortunately, The Plextor Premium drive does not have a setting for burning a CD-R at 48x, so a test for this speed on that drive is not available. The LiteON 48125W was able to burn the disc at 48x however... well, in a matter of speaking I suppose. The burn process "technically" was completed, but the verification done by Nero came up as a failure. Later, a digital examination of the disc showed that there was loss of data due to unrecoverable errors.   |

|   | As you can see, was quite a difference in the performance of this media at 40x, depending on which drive was burning it. The Plextor Premium boasts a very good report of 1.978 C1 errors per sector, whereas the LiteON 48125W has a little more difficulty with the disc near the end portion, and ends up with a report of a little over 6.6 C1 errors per sector. Both discs are completely usable, but the Plextor Premium clearly performs better with this media in this scenario.   |
