Personal Opinions:
These CD-Rs are bad news, though I believe this is partially due to the media not being able to handle capacities over 90min properly, and partially due to the media just being low quality to begin with! These CDs only performed half decently when recorded at 12x, and read at low speeds. Perhaps if 85min or 90min worth of data, were burned onto these discs instead, the results would be much better. However, as it stands, this media failed to be written properly at their certified speed, and performed rather poorly when they finally DID burn "properly". I am very disappointed in this media.

Technically Speaking:

Technically speaking this media performed poorly, however it DID manage to get some usable results. Strictly speaking, all data should be able to be recovered from a CD as long as there is not an abundance of C2 errors. Since very rarely were there any C2 errors reported in my scans, as long as the reading speed is slow enough, these discs could be used. I would however caution against using this media for any sort of archives, as it would not likely survive long, or hold up well to scratches or dust.

The Score:

I give this media 3.5/10 and I think that is being generous!
Sincerely,
The Digital Dolphin
